Great phone! It's lighter than I expected which is nice. I was torn between the 830 and 930. I end up choosing the 830 because I like removable battery (if something goes wrong, I can take the battery out). I like the microSD card option since I take a lot of photos and like the DNG raw option. I had a 920 prior to this and was a little worry about the camera. That wasn't the case! The 10MP PureView Zeiss camera works well. Yes, I would have liked the more powerful processor and camera on the 930 but the deal breaker was the lack of microSD on the 930. Moving data from my 920 to the 830 was pretty easy. Keep in mind that your game and app data won't come across. If the app didn't provide a way to get the data out, you're out of luck!

I believe that this price range is perfect for the 830

For this price, the phone is absolutely adequate. I believe that this price range is perfect for the 830. I might have even been willing to pay a bit more, considering that these phones are nowhere near widely available in the U.S.

In my opinion, this is a beautiful piece of technology. The screen quality is great, though not perfect. The Snapdragon 400, though widely criticized for being available in every lower tiered phone that Lumia makes, is actually not bad. And by not bad, I mean it works really, really well. Surprisingly well. Now, I'm not a gamer. I honestly think that if you are a hardcore gamer, you probably shouldn't even get a Lumia period.

The camera is awesome, battery life is great, and so far, I absolutely love this phone. If you have any questions, definitely ask the seller. I was happy that I did. Their customer service is what ultimately convinced me to get the 830 as opposed to a 640XL I found on another site. I'm glad I didn't buy the 640XL. This phone is much better!

I love it, it works well, and the sound, display, camera, call quality, and build are wonderful. Love the live tiles. The only really negative thing I can say is that the app gap is a real thing. So if you're like me and wanting to switch over from a different OS, then you'd be much better off checking before you purchase a Windows phone whether or not the Windows ecosystem supports your favorite apps. I don't use a ton of apps, so for me, this wasn't an issue. Also, I've had a Surface for three years, and I can legitimately claim that the number of apps is growing day by day.

Sleek phone that also performs well

The shipment arrived in 3 weeks -- a week earlier than specified when i placed the order. It was packed well and looked authentic -- really brand new and not a pre-owned one. The battery was taped where it meets the contacts to prevent discharging prior to use. So one has to remove the small cellophane tape and the phone is good to go.

I've had it for a little over a week on T-mobile. So far it looks to be in good order -- a great, sleek looking and feeling phone with a very fine finish. I've seen no problems in the display, speed or over heating. However, the battery consumption appears to be higher than I expected. I'm a light user of the phone, using it only for the occassional phone call -- one every 2 days, very rare texting of short 1 line messages, the HERE maps and email. Yet, it uses up 35% of the battery in a day! I can't tell that the display resolution is not high; i don't play games or watch streaming video. The response of the phone is fast and the touch quite sensitive. The Apps available are sufficient for my daily and projected use.

So I'm so far happy with this phone. I hope I continue to remain so.
